These workshops help entrepreneurs and businesses work through the topics of the Social Media Guide. Each workshop tackles three topics and are conducted sequentially over a three month period. Each year, you have three opportunities to attend each of the three workshops.

Walnut Ink Workshop
with Linda Kinder
Saturday, February 8
10am - 4pm
Cost $100
Cost includes all supplies but students may want to bring their own brushes.
Participants will learn the process in making walnut ink. They will experiment with making a value scale and how to see values in painting. Each participant will choose a reference photo & learn how to see a good composition from a photo. Focal points will be discussed. Also, you will experiment with twigs, sponges & other materials to add textures.
Linda Kinder is an award winning artist and is known for her extensive studies of the American Landscape. She has painted the Flint Hills, rural farming scenes and the coastline of California. She is a mastered educator who enjoys teaching and meeting new artists!

Adventures in Acrylic Painting

Whether you are a novice or a pro, this is for you! This workshop will cover the wonderful world of painting with acrylic paints. We will delve into all aspects of acrylic painting, including materials, tools, techniques, styles, and special effects.
Participants will have the opportunity to experiment with a wide variety of techniques, materials, and tools, and in the process, to be inspired and have fun!
Holly Schenk has taught art to all age groups. With a master’s degree in Art Education and twelve years’ experience as an art director at Hallmark Cards, she brings knowledge from both the educational field and the commercial world. For Holly, the only joy greater than painting is sharing that joy with others.
